Be a Sociology of Education (SOE) Sponsor

Sponsorship helps us to continue our ability to provide sociologically relevant information on education.

Current Sponsors:

The Education and Child Development department of the National Opinion Research Center (NORC) at the University of Chicago is a proud sponsor of the Sociology of Education Section's website.  NORC is a nonprofit organization dedicated to conducting high-quality social research in the public interest. The ECD department includes over 40 full time staff engaged in study design, data collection, analysis, and reporting.  Please visit our website at http://www.norc.org/issues/edudev.asp for information on the range of current projects. The ECD department is currently recruiting for Research Scientist positions, and strongly encourages sociologists of education and other social scientists with backgrounds in education research to apply; see http://www.norc.org/careers/indexSurvey.asp for application details.  Research Scientists at NORC benefit from our close connections with the University of Chicago 's new Committee on Education (see http://coe.uchicago.edu/ ) and other research groups in the Chicago area. These connections as well as independent funding and publication opportunities are facilitated by the Joint Center for Education Research housed within the ECD department and directed by Dr. Tom Hoffer (hoffer-tom@norc.uchicago.edu ).
