The purpose of the Section on Sociology of Emotions is to promote the general development of this area through the exchange of ideas, research, and teaching about emotions, and to link scholars interested in emotions research. This Section seeks to encourage the study of: emotions in social life, emotionality in research, and the integration of emotions into all appropriate areas of sociological research.
