The American Sociological Association is very pleased to offer ASA members access to the JSTOR database of full-text ASA journals as an additional benefit of membership in the 2005 calendar year.
For $40 for the full 2005 calendar year, ASA members can purchase access to all ASA journals in the JSTOR program-currently American Sociological Review, Contemporary Sociology, Journal of Health and Social Behavior, Social Psychology Quarterly, Sociological Methodology, Sociological Theory, and Sociology of Education.
Funded by the Andrew W. Mellon Foundation, JSTOR is a non-profit program developed to convert back issues of paper journals into electronic formats while simultaneously improving access to journal content. Access to ASA journals is available through JSTOR from the inaugural year of each journal through the volume published two years prior to the current year. (For example, full-text issues of the American Sociological Review are available from 1936 through 2002.)
For additional information on JSTOR, see www.jstor.org. To purchase access to all ASA journals in the JSTOR journal database for the year 2005, include JSTOR on your membership renewal or complete the form below and return it with payment to the ASA. (Note that your membership for 2005 must be paid in full in order to purchase access to JSTOR.)
In purchasing access
to JSTOR, ASA members agree that they will use the database for their personal
use only and will not share their user name, password, or access with other
individuals or institutions.
Yes! I have paid my
ASA membership dues for the 2005 calendar year, and want to purchase access
to the JSTOR online journal database for an additional $40. I understand that
