Manuscript Format:
You must
submit an electronic file of the manuscript saved onto floppy
disk or CD. Acceptable program
files include MS Word, WordPerfect, and Excel.
(Please do not
send PDF files.)
If you are
affiliated with two institutions at the time you submit your
manuscript, please let us know to which address you would like us to
send correspondence.
The
hardcopy manuscript must be in English, typed, double-spaced, on 8-1/2
by 11 inch white paper. All margins must be 1 inch. On the title page,
note the manuscript's total word count (include all text, references,
and footnotes; do not include word counts for tables or figures).
Manuscripts should meet the format guidelines specified in the Notice
to Contributors published in the February and August issues of each

double-sided copies. Send SEPARATE page for the title
page, the author biography
page (<100 words per author bio), and the abstract
page (150 to 200 words). Include the title of the manuscript on the
abstract page. It is assumed that the author has retained a copy of his
or her paper.

A copy of the written permission must be included with the manuscript
submission. ASR
cannot and will not use anything for which an author has not obtained

information, please click here to view the ASR
Electronic Review Process page.
Acknowledgment
of Manuscript Receipt:
ASR will acknowledge the receipt of your manuscript if you provide your
e-mail address. Manuscripts are not returned after review. In your
cover letter, you may recommend specific reviewers (or identify
individuals that ASR should not use). Do not recommend colleagues,
collaborators, or friends. ASR may choose to disregard your
recommendation.
Ethics
of Manuscript Submission:
Submission of a manuscript to another professional journal while it is
under review by the ASR is regarded by the ASA as unethical.
Significant findings or contributions that have already appeared (or

guidelines and ethics codes regarding plagiarism and all other issues.
