2004 Call For Papers
The 99th Annual Meeting of the American Sociological Association will be held on Saturday through Tuesday, August 14-17, 2004, in San Francisco, California, at the Hilton San Francisco and the Renaissance Parc 55 hotels. A wide variety of sessions will be offered related to the theme chosen by President Michael Burawoy, “Public Sociologies.”
The Call for Papers contains all the information needed to submit a paper or discussion topic to be considered for presentation at the upcoming Annual Meeting. The Call is sent to all current ASA members; non-members may request copies by contacting ASA Meeting Services at the address at the bottom of this screen.
All submissions must be made online via the submission system on the ASA website. Do not send any papers or proposals directly to organizers.
Complete details about program sessions, the daily schedule, tours and special events, exhibits and services, and housing/travel arrangements will be posted on the ASA website in May. Program highlights and registration forms will be mailed via Footnotes to all those who are members of the Association for the 2004 calendar year. Members without web access to the online searchable program or posted pdf files may request a hardcopy edition of the program schedule by contacting ASA Customer Service.
